late run - 6 miles - pushed it some

Hard to see... but at the top of this little hill are 5 or 6 HUGE granite rocks that just break the surface. Click on the picture and it should go full size- in the background you'll see the snow tipped cap of San Jacinto. Those rocks have got a special quality to them... kind of spiritual.

Sunday - 6 miles easy, Monday- 5 miles... gentle start

suburban sunrise... at mile 4.5 love my Sunday morning runs

running on Monday morning... normally my day off... a very gentle 5. we have 3 or 4 miles of trails like this in our neighborhood. I touch part of it most every morning. Ran "the loop" today. Gorgeous... and cold!

12 plus miles... back at the long run

ran through the oranges today... so few places on the planet to do this

first had to go to the top of the hill... just a couple years ago this was all oranges and we ran through it with great joy...

the caped crusader... battered, broken and left in the gutter... no wonder he's called "The Dark Knight!"

Riverside's navel oranges- the best in the world and perfect for picking right now... these two were "liberated" to help a weary runner!

The fields a mile out my doorstep- covered with drizzle this morning -looking just a bit Jurassic!

A great run... even more, a great time outside.

6miles- slow - on tired legs

run by this van most mornings... they made the playoffs... GO CHARGERS!

another perfect new year's day in Southern California... they'll be packing moving vans nation wide after watching the Rose Parade/Bowl... who can blame them.

Happy New Year! 2009... hope it's our best year yet... keep running!

a bunch of runs... missed blogs... a bunch of photos

Top of my new year's eve run - 9 miles from the office to home -all uphill!

snow capped mountains in the distance - Christmas Eve -6 mile run to visit mom's grave... losing mom was a hard part of 2008

It's been cold in southern california this month! Remembered why I love HOT oatmeal and skipping runs... but I pushed myself out. Debi's rear window at like 10am

sub-freezing temps and the leaves have been amazing- my phone's full of shot's like this.

one in many- we (runner's)- take so many incredible sunrise's for granted. This is one I snapped with the phone and remember well... It's been a good month.

Where I'm going... all downhill

a brisk, beautiful morning. 9 miles slow, easy and all downhill.
