3 miles- slow and easy... my life!

Friday morning I surfed with a long time friend- and a Friday surfing buddy... when I'm surfing. Paddled at maybe 3 waves- didn't stand up on any of them... that's ok. An incredible morning with much better surf than we'd expected. My board, laying in the wild flowers growing next to the sand.

Pushed myself out into the fog. Ran just one other day this week... not sure which day. This guy was in the middle of the road, dodging cars and they did some kind of construction or repair. It's always something.

3 miles- very easy... not too slow... just easy

2 and a half hours... not sure how many miles

after a few miles- turned down this trail onto what we use to call "Edna's Run"

Everything was green and beautiful... felt just a bit like running away.

GLOVES!!! Everywhere I run I come across random gloves! Who loses them all?

after a run filled with many adventures- lot's of sight seeing and no small amount of nostalgia... my eventual destination: Dad and Mom's grave... Mom's been gone 9 months, Dad, just over 2 weeks... feels like forever... feels like it couldn't be possible.

this...? well this is here because I didn't know how I'd ever be able to adequately describe it. No clue what it's doing out in the middle of the fields or why it is the way it is... but there it is.

Last 2 miles- after over 2 hours out -were brutal. Debi even called my cell phone, worried about me. She never does that. Think I just needed to clear my head. Buried another friend today. God Speed Carol.

6 miles... very slow

you learn something everyday...

Found these little boxes filled with pretty little bottles in them- never know what someone leaves behind. Didn't have my glasses on so I snapped a photo and left them on the side of the road. Googled the name when I got home: tequila... who knew? Appropriately, I fell down on my run today... the two weren't connected.

Didn't run last month... not once. Dedicated the month to listening in prayer. Then dad died on February 17th- at home, in his sleep. God is too good. Miss him though. Back at running this week.
